    Who makes up our team?

    LIBRARIANS

    Provide reference and readers’ advisory services.  Plan, develop, market, promote and ensure delivery of library programs. Manage library collection.

     

    Requires a masters degree in library science (MLS/MLIS)

    REFERENCE ASSISTANT

    Provide reference, readers’ advisory, outreach and programming services for library customers.

     

    Requires a bachelors degree or a Library

    Technical Assistant (LTA) certificate

    DIGITAL SERVICE ASSISTANT

    Assist customers to access and use technology tools and other library resources.

     

    Requires a high school diploma/GED and computer support experience

    TECHNICAL SERVICES ASSISTANT

    Physically prepare books for the library collection. 

     

    Requires high school diploma/GED

    CLERKS

    Assist customers to manage their accounts, solve problems and access library materials.

     

    Requires high school diploma/GED

    MATERIALS AIDES

    Check in and shelve materials. Assist with maintenance of library collection.

     

    No educational requirements – must be at least 16 years old.
