Study Rooms

The Aurora Public Library District is now open for study room reservations. APLD cardholders can make an appointment online or call 630-264-4117. One 2-hour appointment is allowed per day.

FAQs

Do I have to wear a mask?

Masks are appreciated but not required.

How do I know that it is safe to use a study room?

The Aurora Public Library District takes the safety of our customers and staff very seriously. Every study room reservation includes a 15-minute period between customers for the air to re-circulate. Additionally, we have sanitization supplies and wipes available.

Can I use any study room I want?

No. A room will be assigned during your appointment.

How long is my study room reservation for?

One 2-hour appointment will be allowed per day.

How many sessions can I have in a day?

All customers are currently limited to one appointment per day.

Is there a white board I can request with my study room reservation?

Yes, a white board is available for Santori Library's room 212. Please contact us to have a white board for your reservation.

Can I bring guests with me?

The number of people allowed in each room will be determined by the room's capacity.

Can I use a study room without a library card?

Yes, on a first-come, first serve basis. APLD library card holders may make a reservation up to 2 days in advance. No same-day appointments are available at this time.

What if rooms are unavailable?

We have increased our furniture in open areas for study-type environments! Feel free to use a table.

The library's online resources are still available, including 24/7 access to the digital library, homework help via our databases, getting a library card, and engaging with virtual programs. To find all our resources to use from home, visit www.aurorapubliclibrary.org/At-Home.

Customers can place items on hold from home, and library staff will contact customers when holds are ready to schedule a pickup time. For more information, please visit www.aurorapubliclibrary.org/curbside.
