Please do not include your name in the artwork
Each submission must be the creative and original work of a single individual and free of copyright restrictions
All designs must be completed using the template:
Design using Canva (requries a free Canva account)
- Words may be incorporated only as graphic elements
- Artwork can include computer generated or digital submissions or paper submissions using colored pencil, pen, paint, markers, etc..
- Both horizontal and vertical designs will be considered
- Designs must incorporate the theme "There's More to the Story".
In-person at any APLD location

Artwork will be judged based on creativity, design, and how well it portrays the theme.
$100 gift card to the winner
Winner will be announced after during our First Friday event on May 5, 2023.
Upon submission, entrants grant Aurora Public Library District all rights to the artwork and consents that all artwork may be displayed and/or reproduced without limitation and without compensation. Aurora Public Library District reserves the right to deny entry to any submission deemed inappropriate due to the use of derogatory language or imagery, use of copyrighted materials (including cartoons, excerpts from books, etc.), or entries that do not incorporate the theme. Designs must adhere to the Exhibit and Display Policy. The artwork will be available for public voting on the website and at the library during National Library Week. Library staff, community members, and public vote will determine the final winning design.
